I was just changing some settings and changed my admins URL settings by adding /wp-admin to the sites URL . It was mysite.com and now mysite.com/wp-admin. (Uncertain if I could place real site). It was a dozen or so posts of pics and text and is on my iPhones WordPress app but not sure how that’d work.
I’m really lost on how I’d access this now and am dumbfounded :/ any help would be appreciated. I’m not much into coding but can access all the files via FTP and make changes but nothing to heavy.

Ok. I did phrase that wrong maybe. I changed the admins URL which was mysite.com to mysite.com/wp-admin not the sites address. I can see the site although the wptouch theme I see has been corrupted. I did look at the wp-config file my mentioned from ftp mysite.com/wp-config.php and looked at it … I kinda see what I need to do but where and correct code as what I saw changes the sites URL not the admins URL Thanks

    I changed the admins URL

Then how did you do that?

Sorry. I misread as I looked at a second sites preferences. I changed the URL for WordPress site as it appears above the sites URL , both of which were the same in both cases. I think I should be able to get it , although I’m doing it from an iPhone with FTP app that’s not got an editor. I did set-up a database and new sub domain in the interim , thankfully it’s only a dozen or so posts and pix. The current theme that I last saw was wptouch theme but I guess … I’ll give it a shot. Thanks esmi

Yeah I’m not so good at this :(. I didn’t add it in the right spot I think. I get this error now
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /home/content/l/e/t/mysite/html/subdomain/wp-config.php on line 82 (mysite & subdomin edited). I’m sure I’ve not put the code in the correct spot probably.

Try removing the code that you added.

That helps bring the site back in its corrupted wptouch view on my iphone , but can’t get into admin though ( a 404 showing )or switch from the wptouch to desktop view , can’t check from a computer as I’m only on with iPhone :/. I have setup another subdomin and database ready to go and it’s no problem — but I am willing to try stuff and learn — I think it was placement as I’m not sure where to paste the URL in the config file … I tried again while writing this and put it below the other codes in th wp-config that also started with “define” and got same error as above with different line number.

You are not adding the code correctly. I’d also suggest that you try Method 2 – using the functions.php file. But, again, you must be very careful when adding the new code.

Thank you thank you thank you :). My old printers eyes should have seen my error πŸ™‚ I had made a slight typo while copying the URLs over. Now I’ve just got too …. Thanks that’s a great help as I’d always wanted to take a peak at the code and get a better understanding if it. I’m sure ill go in and edit other things for fun.
http://delapomerai.letspimpyour.com , take out the subdomin and there’s some beautiful pix to start your day.

Thanks for your patience esmi its greatly appreciated as its family history from a 100 year old book and its cool stories of my ancestors as well as photos of art by a distant relative.
And thanks to all the awesome coders who make WordPress and making it possible for me do this all from my iPhone
