Help needed with Feature Box

I chose a (free) template that already had a feature box as I had no luck trying to create a feature box like this on my own. (I am new to wordpress and not good with it).

Anyway, it looks nice but the text and the photos become mis-matched once in awhile. Why is this happening? It’ll scroll along fine for awhile and then become off.

Also, I cannot figure out how to make the excerpt from the story (both in the feature box and in all teasers) to end at the end of a sentence, as opposed to the end of a line.

(And to add more issues… the “read full story” link doesn’t work AND the text meshes with the headline except where the headline is two lines – it looks awful).

Any help that anybody can give me would be very much appreciated!!!
