Help needed: Unable to add predefined “Profile Photo” field and Meta Key is reserved

    Hi Team,

I am using Ultimate Member on my WordPress site and I am facing a specific issue with the Profile Form Builder.

    1. Issue with Meta Key: When I try to add a new “Image Upload” field and set the Meta Key to profile_photo, I get an error saying: “Your meta key is a predefined reserved key and cannot be used”.
    2. Predefined Fields Missing: I checked the “Predefined Fields” section in the Form Builder, but I cannot find the standard “Profile Photo” or “Cover Photo” buttons there to add them back to my form.
    3. Goal: I want the profile photo uploaded by a user to appear in the circular profile header. Currently, if I use a custom meta key like photo, it shows up in the form body but not in the header.

Could you please guide me on how to restore the default “Profile Photo” field to my form so that the Meta Key profile_photo works correctly?

    Looking forward to your help.

    Best regards,

    Hello @tariqs

You couldn’t use the profile_photo key. If you need to upload a profile photo, you don’t need to create a new field – just click on the empty profile photo circle and upload a photo.

    Regards.
