Help links needed on start page

I wasted quite a bit of time on the installation of WordPress. I was trying to do a localhost setup. The ‘simple setup’ /wordpress/wp-admin/setup-config.php really needs a help link that links to a page outlining the various needs, methods of installation and common issues, rather than attempting the one size fits all layout. That’s my two cents worth.
