Help! I get this message :s

    I keep getting this message when i go to my login area. I havent edited the functions.php

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/toxic/public_html/wp/wp-includes/comment-functions.php:775) in /home/toxic/public_html/wp/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1644

    Please help!

    Did this happen BEFORE you got WP working, or AFTER ?

    If it was AFTER, what exactly did you do just before it threw the error ?

    Well, it was working fine for 2 days, so i guess it was before?

    Have you edited any files at all ?
    Have you installed any plugins ?

    No i havent edited any files. And i did get someone to install this smilie plugin thing but it was working fine with it.

    Delete the file ‘comments-functions.php’
    Download a new WP
    Upload just the new comments-function.php file.

    Delete the problem file FIRST. If you upload on top of it, you WILL get errors.

    But it doesent say that anything is wrong with comments-functions.php, it says something is wrong with functions.php

    Line 775 of that file has the problem.

    ok well does this mean that i have to reinstall wp? Because i didnt install it in the first place i got someone elce to because i don’t know anything about it

    No – just replace that one file.
    I suspect that whoever did stuff for you has accidentally messed a file up. If you want to give me enough details, I’ll check your blog and make good any files that need replacing. You can email me ?

    Sorted: whitespace in file and replacing it worked.
