Help – Getting WordPress programmer

I need an honest answer. I’ve been having trouble getting WordPress help. Still need help for an existing site.

Now I want a simple site to put up, and its not going well in WordPress.
I’m probably older then most of you. I come from the days of Fortran and Cobol.

Are there any WP programmers that do small work ?
Is it worth it for another small 3 page site, or should I scrap WordPress and use Go Daddy’s wedbuilder.
