    Hi,

I’m trying to find the best way to ship spare parts worlwide on my Woocommerce webshop.

All spare parts have different sizes and weight, which complicates the task.
Can anyone think of a good solution to manage this kind of shipping?

Note: I do not have the weight of all parts.

I could establish a flat rate by dividing the products into classes but it does not seem it is the right solution because there are heavy parts and others that are very light.

This may sound dumb but on most ecommerce platforms, how does it work? Does someone process each part as orders arrive?

Thank you very much for your help and time!

    Best regards,

    Bertrand

    Hi there,

A great deal depends in where your store is located and what shipping services are available locally. For the most part, stores add weight/dimensions to their products and then have the shipping calculated automatically through UPS, USPS, FedEx, Royal Mail, Australia Post, NZ Post etc.

    Hi,

Thanks a lot for your answer!

I have never worked on a e-commerce before and I see that it is not easy task to understand the basic operating principles of shipping.

Woocommerce recommends me this extension: https://woocommerce.com/products/table-rate-shipping/

But you are right I think that I’ll do better contacting the available local shipping service and see what they can do.

    Thanks again for your help!

    Regards,
    Bertrand
