Have you tried reinstalling the theme? And asked the developer of the theme for help with these questions?
Since that’s a commercial theme, probably not going to be much we can do to help as we don’t have access to it.

I have been trying to remove the comments counter from my homepage, and in doing so appear to have messed something up.
When I go to this page on my desktop: http://www.travel-sassy.com/trek-america-austin/ all of the content bar the media disappears? Doesn’t seem to have the same problem on my mobile?
And if anyone can tell me how to remove the comment counter from my homepage too, that would be great!!
