• not sure if this is the best place to ask for help on this, so i apologize ahead if so. i am trying to attach a pdf to my wordpress site so that when someone clicks the link (ex: domain.com/example.pdf) to view it it, it will show up without expanding to fit their screen. so basically, if the pdf itself is 1000px wide and they are on a 27in imac with their browser opened up across the screen, i do not want it to zoom in to to say 150%, for example. i’ve already created my pdf and uploaded it, but it’s zooming in every time for me. i know it can be done as i’ve seen it on others sites before, but i am clueless as to how to specify or control the behavior of the pdf when viewed in a browser.

    any help is much appreciated!

    Morning,

You could put the pdf file into a zip file and upload that, then when people click the link the browser will automatically download the file instead of attempting to open it.

Hope i have been able to help

I don’t know where it is (because I’m the web guy here and only the designers touch Acrobat) but I do know that there is a setting somewhere in Acrobat pro that you can specify the starting zoom when the PDF is opened. Just bear in mind that it will work in most cases, but there’s always going to be someone that’s changed the settings in their reader that might override yours.
