Could you provide a link to your site?
Thanks for the quick response. The site is baseballthinktank.com however it is not live but I have been using baseballthinktank.com/home to view.
the pictures will load if you register for the site but the loading process is brutally slow. I never had issues with speed or anything like this before if that helps
What are you using to check if someone is registered? It seems like every asset is being tested before it is loaded. Therefore, if you register, the registration is approved, and the images come through just fine.
In other words, whatever you are using to block access to content for guests seems to be the issue. Can you try reinstalling that part of the site? Make sure to make a back up of course.
I use wishlist, is that what you are referring to? Or are you saying to change the settings of content protection? Thanks again
sort of vague in my response, sorry. I use wishlist member, are you saying to reinstall the plug in or change the settings of wishlist?
I would try disabling the plugin that blocks access to the site for non-registered members. If the picture issue is then resolved, it is probable that that plugin is the issue. If that is the case, try re-installing it, making sure you don’t lose any custom work you’ve done to it (if there is any).
The normal debug.
Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
What would cause this to happen suddenly? I didn’t add any additional plug ins and they were working without conflict. It was just after resetting that the issue arose
Like I mentioned, I never had a problem until my web designer updated WP 3.4.1 and it caused all the videos to crash. He then reset the site to an earlier version of WP and soon thereafter, the issue arose. I never changed any of the defaults or settings in my content protection area of WL Member
The debug protocol should be used in almost any situation. It is just a matter of ruling things out.
Newbie here…….so i just deactivate the plug ins???
Rename the plugins folder, plugins-old. Then change to the default theme and see what happens.
No luck……still the same. As a matter of fact, none of the pictures would show up.
The images are not at the url. For example, http://baseballthinktank.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/winter-baseball-gloves.jpg is the link you have on the page but it is physically not there. uploads,2012,06 are showing a 404 error and should be showing a 403.
Using ftp or the file manager at your hosted account, http://baseballthinktank.com:2082/ can you confirm those directories and images are there?
