• Hello, our client uses connect matomo successfully for tracking basic analytics for their wp-sites. However, they would like to use heatmaps as well. Our on-prem matomo has heatmaps plugin installed and it is working correctly with non wp-sites. When this customer tries to query our on-prem Matomo (from the wp-server) they get an cors error. The same cors error appears for the basic tracking request (data is still saved to on-prem matomo). We have added their domain to CORS-domains in Matomo. How to get heatmaps to work with connect-matomo? The customer also has a login on their page. Is that a blocker issue for using heatmaps on wp-site?

Hi @tarppak, does this user use the tracker proxy feature of Connect Matomo? What specific file is being requested that returns the CORS error? (eg, matomo.php or configs.php)

Would you be able to provide a link to the website so we can see exactly what is happening? (I can provide an email address if needed.)

Hello, they don’t use tracker proxy. The requested file is configs.php. Both tracker.php (replaces matomo.php) and configs.php show cors-error, but normal tracking works. Heatmaps (configs.php) don’t work. And yes, I can send you a link but prefer private email for that. Also, the link to the site goes directly to ms login page. So I’m not sure if you can see anything from there. Thanks!
