Thanks Dustyhawk, douglashanna & BeeDub
Your comments are most appreciated.
Beedub, Glad to hear that your Google love has been tripled 🙂 Excellent!
Great job on a new and fresh theme that has been long overdue for us “monetize freaks”! Had it running for a few days on uberoops.com and all looks good after a few tweaks.
Although I am using Adsense alternatives, it’s still set up for anything really.
Loads fast and all seems very well so far, can’t wait for new colored themes to arrive!

I am new to blogging, Word Press and its themes. Looks like we stumbled upon one of the better themes first up for my Casting Nasturtiums Website.
Easy to use and easy to tweak (once you realise that your background colours are being overwritten by URLs to background images, and comment them out).

Thanks Greg. Good to know you think HeatMap Theme is one of the better themes 😉
Another tip would be to pull out the old photoshop editor and make some new images to replace the original ones to give your heatmap theme blog a bit of an individual makeover 🙂
Top tip! You can do some really funky things by playing with the wallpaper-bg.jpg image 😉
Hey Stuart, awesome theme!
Feeling kinda dumb here- is there supposed to be a SAVE button on the heatmap options page? How do I save my changes? Do i need to chmod something?
Thanks!

Brian,
Its right there at the bottom of the HeatMap Options page I promise 😉
Its blue and it says ‘Save Changes’.
If its not there then your wordpress install may have entered the twilight zone 😉 cue music dooo-doo doo-dooo 😉
Seriously though, if you dont see it, let me know.
When I was starting out my blog, I was looking for a theme that have plenty of room for ad placement. I have searched on the web for weeks before finally settling down for heatmap. At first, it looked very daunting to configure the theme (thats because i am totally new to blogging and wordpress).
Now, i managed to modify and configure the theme to suit my need. Just take a look how a newbie to blogging like me can play with heat map theme. It is so easy to configure especially the ad widgets. Its the nicest thing to have with so many options to put your ads.

Alan,
Great to hear you found HeatMap Theme easy to use and modify 🙂
Yup, once you get into hacking WordPress and HeatMap Theme its relatively easy to bend it to your will (and quite addictive) 😉 Really glad its working for you.
btw all,
I’ll soon be releasing a collection of coloured versions of HeatMap Theme (just in case you would like an alternative to the ‘classic graphite’ look) that will make the job even easier 😉 They’ll be available as a commercially supported GPL download 🙂
Everyone who has already made the ‘I love HeatMap Theme’ donation or ‘credit link removal’ donation will be getting a complimentary HeatMap Theme colour pack as soon as I have them ready 🙂
Happy WP themeing fellow Heatmapsters 😉
Keep rockin, Stuart! This is an awesome THEME Map! Just wanted to pass on what I’ve been working on for the past couple of hours – State Insurance Deals
Thank you for all of your help! Big Kuddos to you!
Brad
Dear Stuart
Many thanks for the theme. As an impecunious starter to this website game, I’ve dowloaded the free version on WordPress and am muddling my way through as best as can.
I gather from your help site there is no automatic way to remove the posts and comments icons from the categories bar on 2.5…can you advise if there is another way of doing it?
Also, can you advise if there’s a way to remove my author name from the bottom of a post? As this is a niche site, I don’t really want it there.
Or if anybody else out there can help0, it will be much apreciated.
Best wishes
SoS
Dear Stuart,
Great theme created. I am new to Blogging. Can you tell me how do we limit all the posts from coming on Index page. As of now all post are getting added on index.php. Is there a cut off given?
Cheers
