Header is too big

On a site i am working on, the header is very big. i dont really get coding, so i never understand how to find things when people say you just go to line so-and-so or whatever. so please talk to me like the computer idiot i am. i just want to make it a lot shorter. it’s just wasted white space. site is amerabdallah.com thanks
