Header Image Not Displaying Correctly after WP Update

After the new WordPress update, my blog was fine. However morning when I checked my website I saw that the header image was plastered ALL ACROSS my background, and there is a huge amount of dead space above my header, forcing the reader to scroll down.

When entering Customization, there is no fix for this – hiding the header removes only the large header image on the background but does not fix the white space.
Tech, please come up with a solution for this ASAP. So many others using the Edge theme are experiencing this problem.

I’m currently using Theme Edge and already submitted a support request ticket for the theme developers and see that many others have the same problem, but I’m not sure if the error lies within the theme itself or the new update and a possible incompatibility or bug.
