    I have my header image set in Appearance – Header to a particular picture and it shows up on the home page and SOME of the other pages. The problem is that on other pages (post pages) instead of the set header image it is putting the featured image from that post into the header image area…but it’s doing this inconsistently.

    Please explain things VERY simply!

    this depends on the size of the featured post images – those with a minimum width will get shown in the header.
