Header Height

I have a self hosted site I am working on for a company I work for. Our marketing director wants the menu options at the very top of the page like in the example used for the evolve theme. I have tried changing the header height with no success. I have very limited experience with html although I have a little but have yet to figure out how to do what she is asking can anyone help? http://www.techupgrade.info
