    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I can confirm that everything works in Chrome and Firefox, and that it breaks in IE 8 (I don’t have an IE 9 to test right now.)

In IE 8, I get this JS error:

    Message: A security problem occurred.
    Line: 44
    Char: 4
    Code: 0
    URI: http://www.strausshosting.com.au/~energeti/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/shutter/shutter-reloaded.js?ver=1.3.3

I don’t know what that means or where it’s coming from really, by my assumption is that IE just stops processing the JS after this error occurs, which is why the sorting and filtering functions for the table are not loaded.

Do you see such a script error in your IE 9?

    Regards,
    Tobias

i dont see this error in the source code in my ie9 (apart from checking source code is there a way to check for errors with ie?)

Its a great plugin btw, i commend you on it; up until this its been working perfectly!

    Hi,

the error will not show in the source code, but in something like an Error or JavaScript console. I think, in IE 9 you can reach it by pressing F12, or by clicking the icon in the status bar.

Note that I don’t think that this is a problem in the external DataTables JavaScript library (that TablePress uses for the sorting and filtering), but more a conflict in a different piece of JS code, due to which IE just stops JS execution entirely. So, there’s probably nothing really that can or needs to be changed in TablePress or DataTables. It’s just a matter of finding the original error.

    Regards,
    Tobias

yeah i get SCRIPT14: A security problem occurred.

    shutter-reloaded.js, line 44 character 4

    Hi,

ok, good that you could confirm this!

That JavaScript file seems to belong to the NextGen Gallery plugin. Can you maybe disable the Shutter script in the plugin’s options? Otherwise, you could search for this error message on the web, in case it has happened to someone before, or ask in the NextGen Gallery forums, maybe.

    Regards,
    Tobias

ill see if i can disable the shutter, its really weird that it doesnt affect the table on this page http://www.strausshosting.com.au/~energeti/about/the-bookshelf/

Fixed it, i disabled the shutter effect, thanks for your help mate, once again awesome plugin!

    Hi,

that’s good news! Nice to hear that you could deactivate the Shutter effect!
