    Hello Folks,

    I am getting this error message on the dashboard and few pages intermittently. Please advise

    Wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /home/alkemicswitch/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/vendor/wordfence/wf-waf/src/lib/http.php on line 440

  • Hi @princeakere,

    Wordfence uses file_get_contents and fopen to access remote files. This requires the setting allow_url_fopen to be enabled.

    Can you go into your webhosting dashboard and enable this setting?

    allow_url_fopen = 1

    @wfdave

    Thanks for your help. Yes, I have enabled it on the hosting dashboard. However, it’s asking if I want to enable it for Home Directory or mydomain.com.

    Appreciate your help

    Hi again,

    Can you try enabling it for your domain?

    Hi @princeakere,

    We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ve gone ahead and marked this thread as resolved.

    Please feel free to open another thread if you’re still having issues with Wordfence.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
