Hatch theme and seperate blog posts

    Using the hatch theme which i really like, however I can’t seem to separate posts from showing up as part of the blog portfolio. Meaning that if I add a new post (article which has nothing to do with photography) it appears as part of the folio and adds a blank square.
    I have tried some of the solutions mentioned elsewhere here for the hatch theme but those I tried don’t work. The one where you modify the php loop code I can verify does not work. Anyone have success with this?
