  • I am having the same problem. I just went into the wp-twitter-pro.php file and changed Line #742 to

    ‘href’ => ‘https://twitter.com/search?q=’ . urlencode( $matches[2] ),

    It may be wrong, but it worked. (I’m a definite noob to PHP.)

    can i get into that file from the WP Dashboard… or do I need to use FTP to get into it? Thanks AndriaL

    i went into the file from FTP — changed that line… loaded it back to the folder… and it caused mu whole site not to function. Wierd!

    I deleted the Plugin and reinstalled it…. back to square one. ;-(

    Good catch. It seems that Twitter has changed from using search.twitter.com/search to just twitter.com/search for hashtag urls. I have updated the URL and it will be included in the next release. If you want to try out the development version with this change included, you can download it here: https://github.com/OpenRange/twitter-widget-pro/archive/master.zip

    Thanks Aaron. Well done! I have put just the php file of the development version into the plugin folder and the hash tag search is working now. Appreciate your responsiveness.

    The new version that I just released (2.5.2) includes this fix. Thanks for catching the problem and reporting it.
