Hang on – I’m getting insecure content no matter which widget I use. So I’m guessing it’s the rss content itself.
Think I need to get an rss feed that’s compatible – you can’t get the staff these days!
Hey,
The feed that you’re trying to pull, is that website over HTTPS? Let us know. 🙂
No, I checked that after finding it was buggering up with all RSS feeders.
Thing I dont get though, is how the RSS feed works fine, no insecure content, if you don’t load up images?
As far as I could see though, no website – not even the BBC – are running https in their RSS feeds.
Hey @steveraven,
We use the image url as we get from the feeds. We can not assume that it might be a https website and add https to the image urls as some of them have ssl certificate and some not.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Something similar happens to me. I have had to remove the thumbnails from some fedds. Even with https pages. It gives the paradox that when inspecting the page and going to “console” it indicates to me that the problem is in images with http, but turns out that you go to the web in question and make cilc in the image and it appears with https. Which I do not understand.
For example. When I inspect my page because it indicates not secure, I point out that the problem is in some images, for example:

But if you open it in a new tab it appears:

If you go to the web in question and click on the image it also appears as https
