• If I want to add the shortcode block to the template, the shortcode appears as it is, it is not done (do_shortcode). It shows [video], instead of a video.

If I call this shortcode in the post content it works which means that my shortcode works, but I am not setting it correctly to work outside the post area and in the shortcode Gutenberg block.

Can someone explain, how to call shortcode outside content areas?

Shortcodes no longer work on templates. See https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/58333

    Thanks for answer.

I see that only block themes are affected.

I have them work with classic theme.

Will we all be pushed to block themes at the end of this?

I cannot speak for the true future plans of WP, I know as little as you. But you can see the tempest in a teapot brewing from just removing partial shortcode support. Imagine the hue and cry from removing classic theme support. It’s too large a part of the WP ecosystem. While only block themes may be a fever dream of a few, I don’t see classic themes going anywhere in the foreseeable future. I’ve been proven wrong before though 🙁
