    Hi,
When I duplicate a post, it seems that the GUID (use for rss feed) is not properly formatted.
Normaly, it looks like http://www.domain.com/?p=6455 but when I duplicate a post, the GUID use the same name as the basis and appends the “-copy” string to it. I can therefore have identical GUIDs if 2 posts were created from the same origin. Unfortunately With duplicated GUIDs, my rss feed doesn’t validate… Is this an known issue?

  • Hi @abrebion,
I’m doing some tests and it looks like you’re right.
Can you confirm that it’s happening only if you click on Clone with the Status checkbox enabled under SettingsDuplicate Post, tab What To Copy, and it does not occur if you copy to a new draft?

    Hi,
    Yes I confirm.
Status is checked under settings > what to copy
Issue occurs only when I clone, not when I copy to a new draft.

    Hi,
    thank you for your help!
I think I found what causes the bug, it shouldn’t be too hard to solve but I want to test the solution very carefully.

I’ll keep you informed, in the meantime I’d suggest you to copy to a new draft (or clone after disabling the Status checkbox) and thenpublish the post, so the guid is generated as unique…

Thank you very much for reporting the bug! I hope I can give you news about it soon.
