    The Disable Comments plugin has a higher priority at the moment but this can be changed:

    In the actual version of comment guestbook change line 63 of includes/sc_comment-guestbook.php to
    add_filter('comments_open', array(&$cgb, 'filter_comments_open'), 50);

    I will include this modification in the next version.
