    I have been using EWWW for 3 years now for a picture-focussed site. The plugin works effortlessly in the background. I have used it for batch compression after loading a photo archive and it automatically looks after all new images loaded to the site.
    And when I needed help configuring it to my exact requirements Shane was very helpful and quick to respond.
