Great for cleaning up after old plugins

Many plugins will create a new user role type.

E.g. Learning Management Systems create types like ‘Student’ and ‘Instructor.’

But often they don’t remove these when you uninstall them. But this User Role Editor plugin gives you the ability to delete out these old, unused roles, which helps to clean up your site.

It will even tell you exactly which roles are unused, because it reconciles all roles against installed and active pluings, along with the core WordPress role.

I was able to identify which user roles were no longer used (because I’d uninstalled the plugins) and delete them out, thanks to this plugin. Anything that helps me maintain a cleaner, lighter site is a good thing.
