Thanks Bernard, glad the cleanup made a noticeable difference. WordPress databases have a real knack for hoarding old revisions, transients, and leftover junk from plugins you uninstalled months ago, so a good clear-out usually pays off.
If you want to keep that “smoother” feeling without having to remember to run it, head to WP-Optimize > Database > Settings and set up a schedule. Weekly is a sensible default for most sites.
Worth mentioning too: WP-Optimize isn’t just a database tool these days. The same plugin also handles page caching, image compression and WebP conversion, and CSS/JS minification. If your site feels smoother after a database clean, it’ll feel faster again once those are switched on. Might be worth a poke around the other tabs when you get a moment.
