Hi there,
is it possible to block Gravatar right away or how does the plugin handle the gravatar connection?

Hi @maxidavis,

While the plugin doesn’t currently block Gravatar images by default, we wrote an article some time ago about the subject, where we recommended using the “Avatar Privacy” plugin to host Gravatar images locally and prevent the connection to Gravatar.com.
