When sending our Newsletter with Mailpress was an error:
Got a packet bigger than ‘max_allowed_packet’ bytes

The error only occurs if you send the newsletter to 5,000 people. If he is sent to 1,000 recipients it works.

I wish I could send 20,000 emails, would it be possible? If so what should I do?

that is due to your mysql configuration provided by your webhost.

Ask their technical support to remove such limitation that is a nonsense as you may be already limited on the size of your mysql db !
