Thanks for reaching out @webworq. This message can occur if there is something blocking access to the Site Kit service. This could be at host or browser level. So we can determine more on this, please share the following:
- Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
- When checking the Site Kit dashboard from a Chrome browser incognito window does the same occur? This can help indicate a browser related block.
- Do you see this message when attempting to set up Site Kit from this disposable WordPress site?
Let me know if you have any questions with the above.
Hi Adam
Form has been sent.
Incognito doesn’t work either.
And I do not see this when i’m trying to set it up.
This is what is shown:
“Looks like your site is having a technical issue with connecting to the Site Kit authentication service.
To get more help, ask a question on our support forum and include the text of the original error message:
google_sk_service_connection_fail“
@webworq Thanks for sharing the information. I don’t see anything that immediately stands out. Could you please try running through the troubleshooting steps here and let me know if you encounter the same error/warning at the same stage while in troubleshooting mode with just Site Kit active?
In the meantime while you follow these steps, I will continue to run checks on my side and will update here if I find anything.
@adamdunnage unfortunately running in troubleshooting mode had no effects, and no other errors/warnings was encountered.
Still same issue.
@webworq Sorry to hear that. Have you installed and activated the mini plugin as per the guide linked to next to the error? If not, please go ahead and install, before attempting Site Kit setup once more. Let me know the outcome of this.
@adamdunnage by installing that everything is working!
Thanks a lot.
@webworq Delighted to hear that! Glad I could help you with this.
