Google Site Maps Error

    Hello

    Migrated my hosting and updated some of my sites, checked google console for my sitemaps

    from 2 of my sites with errors with blank sitemaps

    check the Yoast plugin and it displays an XML sitemap, so checked my robot.txt points to the correct path…

    cleared my cache etc, then removed Yoast and started again with no resolution

    Tried inputting sitemap into google same issue errors

    disabled XML option in Yoast and created sitemap online

    uploaded to my server and added the new sitemaps to google

    no issue found sites and URLs

    Does anybody have any idea what is causing this strange issue….

    a Manually created sitemap uploaded in root dir works

    but Yoast’s sitemap creates an error in adding in google console

    I have validated the URL with no errors

    The is url for yoast site map that google rejects with errors

    Sitemap can be read, but has errors
    Empty Sitemap

    Your Sitemap does not contain any URLs. Please validate and resubmit your Sitemap.

    Hi @tekerno

    We’re checking on your main sitemap (/sitemap_index.xml) and it does seem to be generating the correct sub-sitemaps, all listed with the proper URLs. It looks like the only empty sitemap is the /e-landing-page-sitemap.xml (which is typically for Elementor templates), so you might want to check if you want to have this sitemap generated if it doesn’t have any valid content – https://yoast.com/help/how-to-customize-the-sitemap-index/

    Then we recommend removing and resubmitting your sitemap and monitoring it after making the changes – https://yoast.com/help/submit-sitemap-search-engines/#google-remove

    hello

    have removed any blank items from the site map and still have an issue
    followed your instructions

    still getting this an error

    Please, note that Google doesn’t always show up-to-date information in the reports so you’ll need to give Google some time to crawl your sitemap index and discover the rest of your sitemaps, i.e. the post-sitemap.xml and page-sitemap.xml, as well as the post and page URLs included in them. Patience is crucial here.
