Google Search Console – errors double/triple when ignored

    Our site uses embedded Google Search code to generate a search box and search results page. The embedded code includes a link to an external js file, which generates a table that is missing a header, and Accessibility Checker catches the missing header error. It appears on about 500 pages.

    We were setting the error on each page to Ignore while we decided on next steps (maybe replace the search, etc.). With each scan, Accessibility Checker doubled the related Errors, so the Google Search is now up to 1600+ errors. We’re on 1.19.0 and 1.35.0, but should be on 1.20.0 and 1.37.0 in a couple of weeks.

    Any idea how to prevent the doubling and make the Ignore stick? Thanks!

    Hey @sfin100,

    Sorry you are having an issue here. We shouldn’t be double finding the same issue. Can you share with me a copy of 2 of the markup snippets so we can compare if there is anything unique in each of them.

    If they are unique though the old one should go away and it’s weird that it doesn’t.

    I will need to dig in a little more to see what is up here but seeing a pair of discovered issues side by side would help me a lot of workign out what the cause may be.

    Since you have the pro plugin installed as well, it will be best if you contact support through the pro plugin and get into our normal ticket system. You should be able to get to the pro support form from the main plugin page in your admin.
