Google Search Console error: Missing XML tag

Wie constantly see the following error for just the post sitemap:

Missing XML tag.

The other sitemaps are ok. I’ve aready deleted the sitemap in the Search Console and submitted again. No luck. The error is still there. I have no idea what’s going on.

Any help would be appreciated.

That’s weird. The error is gone. Just like that. We haven’t changed anything. Well, the Google Search Console is a mystery.

Can you please follow these steps?
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

That should fix the issue from happening again. Please let us know if that does not. We are here to assist.

The above issue is usually fixed by following this step:
