Google Search Console is reporting this error on my site:

Social engineering content detected on http://MYDOMAIN[.]com/November 27, 2016
    To: Webmaster of http://MYDOMAIN[.]com/,
Google’s Safe Browsing systems have detected that some pages on your site might be hacked or might include third party resources such as ads that are designed to trick users into installing malicious software or giving up sensitive information. To protect your site’s visitors, your site has been demoted in Google’s search results and browsers such as Google Chrome now display a warning when users visit your site.

And then it lists just one URL:
    http://MYDOMAIN[.]com/wp-login.php

Wordfence scanning detects no issues (high sensitive scanning turned on, scanning outside of WordPress). Sucuri Site Check also shows no issues.

    Any suggestions?

  • Just received a similar notice on one of my sites. I’m hesitant to “request a review” if there is indeed something wrong.

I requested a review, and they rejected it.

However, now it appears that they no longer consider it to be a threat as I can access the page in Chrome, when earlier it wouldn’t let me. No update in Search Console though.

The review here was successful. Not sure why it’s getting flagged in the first place.

    Hi,
It’s always something related to the website content (ads code in a widget, banner, etc…), I suggest checking this article for more information about how to get rid of this warning.

    Thanks.

That’s what I figured too, but the only URL that Google mentioned in their report was “/wp-login.php?”, which has no advertisements as it is just the default WP login screen. It seems like Google made a mistake in flagging this page, and they corrected it.
