    Hi,

I am trying to get a new password to access my wordpress dashboard. However, I keep receiving this: “ERROR: You have entered an incorrect reCAPTCHA value,” even if that value is a simple three-digit number.

It’s a brand new site. I put it live this past Sunday.

This only happens today. I had tried to create a staging site yesterday but had to delete the subdomain and all of the data in the staging myPHPAdmin file when I could not access the site due to SSL-related issue (hostgator).

    So please help!

    Thank you.

  • Have a look at Resetting_Your_Password. It describes how you can reset your password via the database.

There’s no recaptcha option within WordPress by default so I can only assume that this is part of a plugin you have installed – yes?

    Hi Esmi,

I did manage to reset my password via phpMyAdmin (the safest option to do it in my opinion) as you suggested.

    Now it’s working fine.

    Thank you!

Excellent news! Glad to hear that you’re up & running again. 🙂
