Dear,
I’m using MasterSlider on my website.
While analyzing speed metrics of my pages, I get lot of “warnings” from Google PageSpeed and GTMetrix on the images size.
The original images resolution is 1600×1200 but in the slider options I choose:

“Boxed layout”
Slider width: 640
Slider height: 480
Auto-height slider: ON

I also enabled the “Automatically crop and resize slider images” but the slider seems to still point to the full width images instead of the cropped/resized ones.

As an example, please see:

Do I’m missing something?

Thanks,

Nicola

Hi,

We guess it is a bug. We will investigate it, if necessary, we will fix that and release an update.

Thanks for patience and understanding.

Hi,

We have tested it and images are generated in the slider size.
It is possible you have a plugin that stops images to generate in the new size.

So please deactivate all the installed plugins (except Master Slider) then reactivate one by one. After activating each plugin, check out and see if the issue persists.

If the problem persists, you can select the default theme and check out again.

Please let me know the result.

Hi @averta_support
I tried to disable all plugins except Master Slider, I also tried to change the theme (I tried two different themes) but the sliders keep pointing to the full size images (and then resize them via style).

Just to be clear, what I mean is that at the moment it behaves like this:

<img src="https://www.nicolaottomano.it/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/IMG_5850.jpg" alt="" title="" style=”height: 264px; width: 352px; margin-top: 0px; margin-left: 0px;” />

but, what I expect to be done by the “Automatically crop and resize slider images” would be something like this:

<img src=”https://www.nicolaottomano.it/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/IMG_5850_264x362.jpg” alt=”” /&gt

Maybe I’m wrong and the plugin does not do it by itself.
Could you please clarify?

Best regards,

Nicola
