Google One for offsite storage

    Hi,

    Up until recently, Google Drive was sufficient to store 3 updraftplus backups for a site. Unfortunately, the sets are now over 5GB each, it was going over the limit. It’s an image-heavy site, and the poster is not good about optimizing images, which needs to be addressed by using an optimizer. In the meantime, I need to have a larger offsite storage, and I’m wondering if Google One, which allows 100GB of storage rather than 15GB can be used with UpdraftPlus? It’s not listed on the settings page, just Google Drive and Google Cloud are, so I’m guessing not?

    Hi!
    Yes, your Google One will work just fine.

    Just to clarify, Google One is simply a subscription service that will upgrade your regular Google Drive from 15GB to 100GB, amongst other benefits. So you’ll still use the same Google Drive remote storage option, but now with more storage capacity.
