Will this addon also work with OSM?

If so, how can I do that?

No, it does not work with OSM. Here is their blog post about it: https://theeventscalendar.com/important-google-maps-api-changes/

Right now, it is the second-most popular feature request. So a lot of people have the same idea. https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas

I am also interested in this request, as Google now charges the use of Google Maps.
