I’ve adjusted the settings in both the Calendar Settings and the event’s page setting to display the Google map, but it’s not. It’s sonly showing a link.

I created a google API and entered that into the Events Settings.

I’ve switched to 2016 theme and disabled all my plug ins (except for Events Calendar) and the map still didn’t work.

    Can you please help?

    Many thanks,
    Stuart

  • Hey Stuart, thanks for reaching out and sorry for the trouble! I’m happy to help troubleshoot this with you to see what’s happening.

First of all, please make sure you are using the latest version of our plugins. Once you’ve done that, will you please follow the steps outlined in this article? This will allow us to determine if there is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.

Let’s start there and see what we find!

    Thanks Geof,

I was able to get it to work by creating a new API key with Google. For some reason a new API key fixed it.

Thanks for reaching out helping me troubleshoot the issue!

    Cheers,
    Stuart

I will have to try the new API solution. If I switch themes, every single one of my home page widgets will fall into inactive widgets and who knows what else will break and then have to be recreated.

Thanks Stuart, so glad to hear that!

Liz, feel free to let start a new thread if that process doesn’t seem to do the trick. We also have a guide to help outline how to create a new Google Maps API:

    Cheers!
