Google login redirect not working

For a new site, I followed instructions at the following site:

http://support.heateor.com/how-to-get-google-plus-client-id/

When trying to login to the site using Google, a window from Google pops up so I can enter my credentials. After clicking to continue, the popup remains and I am redirected to my website but am still not authenticated.
