Google isn't buying it

The plugin catches the 404s and does a 301 (I tested several urls online @ response code testing websites) and indeed the plugin returns a 301 but alas, Google is not buying it – I continue to receive 404 reports daily in my search console. Also the plugin’s ‘most relevant contnent’ detection method does not seem very accurate, an inordinate number of 404’s redirect to the homepage.

Thank you for your efforts. The plugin’s task is a daunting challenge.
