Hi @noumantuheed
I understand how confusing it must feel when you’re trying to connect Google for WooCommerce and only see the WordPress.com option available. From the screenshot you shared, the account connection setup is done in sequence. That means you’ll first need to connect your WordPress.com account before the Google account option becomes clickable.
Can you confirm if you’ve already connected your WordPress.com account and the Google section still doesn’t become active? Once the first connection step is completed, the plugin should then allow you to proceed with linking your Google account for Merchant Center and Google Ads.
If you try that and it still doesn’t work, let me know so we can explore further steps together.
My wordpress is not from wordpress.com it’s installed on linux shared hosting
Hi @noumantuheed
I understand the confusion here, especially since your site is self-hosted and not on WordPress.com. Even for sites hosted on your own server, the Google for WooCommerce plugin requires a WordPress.com connection as the first step. This is because the extension uses WordPress.com as a bridge to authenticate and sync data with Google services.
Once you connect your WordPress.com account, the option to connect your Google account will become available in the next step of the setup. If you don’t yet have a WordPress.com account, you can create one for free here: https://wordpress.com/start
After connecting, you should then see the option to link your Google Merchant Center account. Can you try this and let us know if the Google option becomes available?
Since there’s been no recent activity on this thread, I’m marking it as resolved. Don’t hesitate to start a new thread if you need help in the future.
