    Hi

I’ve been emailed a lot in recent weeks from Google Analytics to upgrade to their latest ‘dynamic tagging solution’. The code they use looks different to what Analytify injects onto my site’s pages and I wondered how to go about updating.

Anyone else managed to do this?

    Thanks

  • Hi @silklink

The new Google Analytics uses gtag.js which implements a dynamic tagging solution, it’s just a wrapper for analytics.js.

The next version of Google’s Developer API is still in beta and does not provide support for a lot of features i.e measurement protocol (required for eCommerce) and more. There is no exact date when Google Analytics will release its full-fledged API. Our development team is currently working with the Google Analytics API beta version and soon we will release our updated Analytify version with the final version of Google Analytics 4 API.

For now, you can just keep using the current Google Analytics tag (analytics.js) and it will keep working without any problem.

    Cheers!
