    Hello!

    Please consider adding an option to configure the default consent state for GCM when the visitor is from a region that hasn’t been explicitly created. This could be implemented as a region that cannot be deleted, called “Default” or “Rest of the World”.

    Also, please add the option to add multiple countries to a region. The current implementation is very frustrating for websites with an international audience. Just for Europe, we have to create 30 regions, all with the same settings. And if we want to offer the same settings to other countries, the number only grows larger.

    Just for clarification purposes, I would like to have security_storage and functionality_storage enabled by default, but at the moment, this is not possible without creating custom regions for every single country.

    Also, please consider upgrading the JavaScript library to version 3.

    Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback.

    The idea of having a “Rest of the World” region is a great one. Something similar has been suggested before, and I agree that it’d simplify configuration for many websites. While we can’t give a concrete timeline, it’s definitely on our radar and something we’ll look into at some point in the future.

    We’re also happy to let you know that we’re actively working on migrating to orestbida/cookieconsent v3. That update should be available soon.
