Google Analytics

I am developing a website right now and have plugin working. I want to add Google Analytic tracker. The plugin, when I go to that line still shows it wanting the old UA- based tag, which Google did away with. I put in the Measurement Id which starts with a G-, or do I need to use the Stream ID which is nothing but numbers? Will they work even though they don’t use the old UA- format.
