• Was good while it lasted.
I’ll never understand why didn’t you guys just create a separate plugin for all your other than Honeypot stuff.
Time uninstall this plugin from all the websites I have it on and forget about it.
I was only using Honeypot part of it for most projects, now even that is not really working / keeps bugging.
Nonetheless, wishing you all the best.

    Hi @kramarz,

    I hope you’re doing well.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience, and we completely understand your frustration—especially since you originally installed the plugin specifically for its Honeypot functionality.

Although CF7 Apps now includes several additional features, the apps are modular, so you can keep only Honeypot enabled and leave the other apps disabled. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

More importantly, Honeypot should work reliably. We recently made several changes to improve spam detection, caching compatibility, and Honeypot validation.

If you are still experiencing issues, could you please share a short screencast showing the problem? Please also let us know exactly what behavior you are experiencing, along with your WordPress, Contact Form 7, CF7 Apps, and PHP versions.

We look forward to your response.

Actually, bundling functions into a single plugin creates an unnecessary burden on disk space and on update activity – whenever anything changes in an area we don’t use, we still need to update. It also creates more potential risks.

There’s also the admin menu, which now says something unintuitive when looking for the Honeypot function.

So I totally agree that distinct functions are best separated into different plugins.

    Hi @galbaras ,

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback.

We understand that some users prefer a lightweight plugin focused only on Honeypot, while many others find the additional features useful and prefer having them available within the same plugin.

We appreciate your perspective regarding the plugin’s direction, updates. Your feedback has been noted and shared with our team.

Thank you again for sharing your thoughts.
