golf theme

I really liked your 100 thing about me, I would have thought you were a guy by the golf theme, how chavanistic of me, that was funny the contradictory tone it took.

I’m in two minds – the theme itself is a good variation on Manji – I don’t know if it s a requirement, and I don’t know if Khaled minds, but it is still a Manji base, and therefore perhaps a link to the author and credit where credits due would be apt. As I’ve said before, 99% of the users who download a theme will not copy and paste an authors link from a cSS file or even see it. The link to their site in teh credits is about the only “payment” they receive. I’ve seen a few peeps use my themes and compeltely remove the credits – I mind, but there’s little I can do about it.

If the work is wholly yours, then by all means remove any reference to Manji but the only way any random user will know it’s manji is if they see it in the credits and it’s something I strongly believe in.

If the author says otherwise then that’s fine I guess he or she has the final say, but in terms of just simple courtesy and ethics it shouldn’t be presented as your own work as a whole if it really isn’t.

I like what you’ve done with it, and you’re probably thinking what’s the big deal, but it’s just a personal preference I guess. I don’t know how the rules of a GPL license affect the copyright on the main.

Interesting find Podz – I assume it’s a stock image, though alex’s is 700×250 where’s this one is 698×233 – cropped just enough I guess 🙂

I recalled the image partly because I’ve been around here for long enough and partly because I like the image itself.
I’d say just chuck a few lines in the CSS – you just seem to be updating for the new code – and the Manji credits too, though I seem to recall that the credits are not mandatory to be visible.
