    Hello – I have setup your plugin on many websites, SSL sites as well, and never got this error. The only thing I can think of is this website is on a Windows box, I attempted to see if curl was installed on the server and it seems it is not. Though I am unsure of that. I also tried your wp_mail_smtp_custom_options function and it seems it did nothing. Please advise.

    Those are 2 different certificates – the one used to connect to your site via https://, and the one used in cURL requests.

    Please contact your hosting company support to fix the certificate of a server for you. You can provide them the Debug: section of the output, it will be clear for them what to do. You can also give them this error:

    > Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates.
