• Hello, WordPress Community!

I have a weird ask, and I’m not sure if I’m going to explain this right. Part of the reason I’m not sure if I’m asking this right is because I’ve done a bunch of searches looking for a ‘how to do this’ and I keep coming up with the wrong stuff. Here’s what I need to do:

I’m building a theme for camp website, and they want to do bios of each of their staff. Some of the staff will be contributors, some of them will be editors, a few will be admins, and the rest will just be subscribers. Which is fine – I don’t want to screw with that at all. Those roles work perfectly for me.

But, they want to have a bios page, organizing the staff by their roles: i.e. Camp Director, Waterfront Director, Activity Counsellor, etc. This will change with the staff every year, so I’m looking for an easy way for the Administrator to

    a) Assign users to a specific title (Frank = Waterfront Director)
    b) pull that so that I can organize them on a page (i.e in hierarchy – call the Camp Director, then Call the Waterfront Director, Then call all the rest of the staff)
    c) not conflict with the normal user roles, or have to create specific roles (i.e. through the author role management plugin with permissions) – I want it capable of making someone a Waterfront Director/Contributor, or a Waterfront Director/Subscriber without having to create a whole bunch of conditional roles (it would be a lot.
    d) the ability to mark someone active/inactive.

Does that make sense? Is there a plugin that’ll do that?
