Give: Donation Statistics update delay

    Hi. I received a new donation today, but it took an hour before the amount was reflected in the Give: Donation Statistics box on the WordPress dashboard. Is this typical?

    The whole time, under Donations > Reports, the “Income Over Time” report reflected the donation, and the Give: Donation Statistics box did reflect “1 donation today.” There was just a delay before the actual amount was reflected in the box.

    During the delay, I tried clearing the Chrome brower history and re-logging in, but to no avail. But suddenly after an hour, the amount updated.

    Hi there,

    Yes, in order for reports to appear quickly and not lag they are cached. You can force the cache by clicking on the “Refresh Reports” button. Or you can go to “Donations > Reports > Tools” and use any of those to force a refresh of all the donor data whenever you like.
